Default ruptured rear brake hose

Last night I had a rubber brake hose pop on the driver's side rear. Lucky that I had five or six car lengths ahead of me. Hear a momentary squeal and the pedal went to the floor...Had it towed to a shop and now waiting for the repair. Going to replace all four hoses.
Whew...

Sounds like you were pretty lucky!

When the shop starts to work on the car, make sure they do a complete brake fluid flush. If the fluid in the system looks dark, then it's time to do that.

Are they going to use OEM-style hoses or have you considered an upgrade to stainless flex lines?

The stainless hoses are like $95 for all 4 corners...its crazy cheap (if you ask me) and very easy to change yourself (even i did it !!! haha)

glad you didnt get hurt or hurt anybody else!

I've been looking everywhere in my area. No one stocks a brake line for my car. Everyone can order them...I can order them, but this is my daily driver. No one will get me the lines till the 27th or 28th now. Argh...

I had a new brake master cylinder put on about a year ago and had the lines all flushed then.

The car, she did stop...just not real fast. The traffic was too fast and heavy to stay on the road. Traffic in my area is really crowded.
