Default anyone with a 1992 FSM... (re: rubber hood block)

Can anyone with a 1992 FSM please refer to the body section regarding the below pictured rubber block? I recently bought a pair of these triangular rubber blocks to retrofit onto my 1996. They seem to act as weatherstripping for the hood jamb. They fit very snuggly up in the hood jamb corners by the hood latches, but I'm curious how the factory attached them. With adhesive? They came installed on early 90s C4s, but not on late C4s (not sure exactly which years).

I put them on my 94 and just put a dab of 3M weather striping glue on them

thanks, but I need to know how the factory attached them. My concern is water getting underneath the blocks from the side edges.

Did the same to my 91, but just pushed them in place as the hood holds them down.Wish I could find another set for the 93.
