Is it possible to add side pipes to a 1989 with stock exhaust? and what parts do I need to change?

They are called Side Effects but are not made anymore. Sometimes you can find them at a Corvette salvage yard but they are rare.

I just took delivery of a set of Patriot side exhaust from Summit. Doesn't look too hard to make work but kind of depends on whether you are going to keep the cat's and such. These look really good, very much like the earlier C2 and C3 pipes.

Getting on and off of alignment machines can be a booger with sidepipes dragging. Think hard before you jump.

I mounted mine 3/4 inches above the lowest part of the frame.
