I have an 87 vette as a driver. The stock radio does not work. It has power but the radio and cd does not work. It also wont control the pwr antenna . I also have a 92 vette parts car with a working after market radio. Am I able to easily put that radio in the 87?

There was no stock CD player in 87, your radio is either from a later model or is an aftermarket unit. The radio from the 92 will need an adapter harness for the 87, but it should work. Pics of both would help, plus pics of the wiring on the 87.

No it doesn't. Yes you can put an aftermarket stereo in your car. You can use the stock wiring too. I ran my for a few years with and Aftermarket HU and the Bose crap. The only real issue I encountered was low volume control was touchy and loud. I ended up just by passing all the Bose crap and installing new speakers.
