Default Oil Dip Stick

Just got the car back from the mechanics, he replaced some sensors

He told me I need a new oil dipstick, that engine oil was coming out of the tube and the upper end of the dip stick was bad
Is it really that simple or might there be a bigger issue here?

+1 Your building positive pressure in the engine. Suspect you might have or develop other oil leaks.

$3.68 new PCV Valve seems to have done the trick. Drove car around for 2 hours no sign of oil spitting up
I'm sure that will be the cheapest cash layout on this car !!!
But thanks so much

Put that "mechanic' on your bad guy list. He should have known that!

PCV hose deteriorates on the inside suggest changing the hose. Napa sells a good 11/32 vacuum hose.

If you use fuel line hose (which is resistant to oil), it will last a lot longer.

Seriously! Engine oil does not come out of the end of the dipstick tube because you need a new one.
Tell the mechanic wannabe he sucks.

Maybe so but since it is designed for pressure it may suck closed when used for a vacuum application. Perhaps fuel hose rated for fuel injection will work ok?
