http://my.americanracing.com/browse-wheels.cfm

Select your C4 car color (lower right corner), then look for VF490, VN405, or VN425. There are several similar to choose from. Then hit Expand (lower left).

I used to be a dealer for ARE. They are nice wheels. I sold quite a few ARE wheels. I special ordered a set of these Torque Thrust for a customer who I new well, but before he came in to pick them up, I mounted them (carefully) on my own 'vette. When he came in, he liked the look, but decided they'd look even better on his car! He had a good sense of humor!

I'm thinking of the same wheels, American Racing Torque Thrust II from Tire Rack. They do the perfect offset for the 84-87 C4's.

They come in the VN515 Polished ($184.00 ea) or VN515 Bright PVD ($210.00 ea) 17X9.5, 21 lbs, 32mm offset.

I'm strongly considering the TT 2's. Are your from China? And how are the quality of the China wheels?

Steve,

I don't have them yet. Those were photoshopped from this picture.. and put onto my car so I could see what they looked like.

What I have now are the ZO6 replica wheels .....

... but thinking of changing to the American Racing Thrust II wheels. Not sure where they are made but I do trust TIRE RACK to sell a well made wheel. That's where I bought the Z06 replica wheel and tire package and they have held up very well for the last 5 years that I've had them.

Crewzen,

I like that way they look in the "real" picture. My 95 is the same color, so it would look virtually the same as yours. Are all four 9.5" x 17? What size tires are they on?

Steve. Yes, all 4 wheels are 9.5 X 17. Tire size is 275x40x17

I think you're wanting something in a 38-40mm backspacing on a 9.5" wide rim if you want to maintain original relationship to the car. 8.5" would be 32mm while 9.5" would be 38mm from my understanding of it.

I got different rims earlier this year, old ones were 9.5" 38mm 16" to 9.5 40mm 18" and they fit just fine.

Yes agree. What I have now is 38mm offset but the Tire Rack wheels I'm looking at (VN515) are 32mm and they say they are perfect fit for the 87 Corvette. Hopefully they would know what they are selling.

Actually looking again at the Tire Rack page, Bright PVD has the 32mm offset and the Polished has the 33mm offset. Both for the 87 Corvette. Not sure why one would be 1mm different.
