Default Header Install

HI Went, I've installed a couple of headers on C4's. It's a real pain in the butt, especially the passenger side. Just an fyi.

I would bet you also use the plain old paper gaskets too, I know that is what I use, never a leak.

Received my Melrose header parts. Just a quick pick. Rest of the parts are still in the shipping box.

That's what I thought too. But I'll stick'em in and give the DEQ sniffer a try. Hopefully there being two of them for the system the car will test okay. My tuner guy says he'll be able to DEQ tune the car. Just wish I could get them in right away. My wife was in the hospital for two days. Just got home this afternoon. So tired it felt like a lot of work just unpacking the headers to take a picture.

Take care of her first, you will have all winter to mess around with the car. Hope she is OK.
Your tuner sounds like he knows what he is doing, hopefully it all works out.

Those headers look awesome.

I've had my headers on and off several times. The first time I put them on it was a real pain, after I learned how to mauver them it wasn't bad at all.

On my car I put the passengers side header is raised into place from the bottom and the drivers side one was lowered into place from the top. Biggest issue I always have is getting the driver's side header past the steering linkage/rod. But with some fiddling it drops into place. Best of luck, take your time and don't get frustered.
