Quick Shout Out To BOB @ Factory Car Stereo Repair Inc in FL
Aloha Guys and Gals.
In a previous post I asked for help re: my Bose system. I checked online (youtube) and saw several videos from these guys at Factory Car Stereo Repair Inc and they were VERY helpful, so I sent them an email... Bob replied right away which was surprising since that big hurricane had just passed through Florida, fortunately they were alright.....
ANYWAY....
I sent off my two rear amplifiers and my CDM component, they tested and made the appropriate repairs (including an Ipod/AUX port upgrade coming out of the CDM) and shipped the parts back to me in a matter of a few days !
I just popped them in and the BOSE sounds AMAZING !!!!!!
The total cost for all the work done AND return shipping Priority Mail was $405....not exactly cheap, but the results are fantastic.
Amp rebuild $80 x2......with a LIFETIME warranty !
CDM repair $125.00....with a 1 year warranty (In full disclosure, I'm not sure what was wrong with the CDM as the stereo worked fine except for the two rear speakers...i'll let you know what I find out)
Ipod/AUX port modification $100
Shipping $20....(though the box actually said $13.60)
In closing....most people write reviews of stuff or suppliers that DIDN'T work..... I thought I'd do my part to PROMOTE a good supplier ! (yes, it's true, we look at things differently in Hawaii).....
FCSR did a GREAT job on my audio equipment.
