I also have some new speakers for my '95 that I want to install.

I want to upgrade the headlights. Not sure which ones. May try an HID or LED upgrade or just some better light output sealed beams. The better replacements would be easier, but not as good as the HID or LED.

Plus there are a few maintenance items like some vacuum lines, trans and differential fluid changes, etc. (always have something I need to do.)
I have a set of Revolutions that are 17X9.5 that I ran on my Ruby many many years when I use to autocross it. The wheels are a 3-piece wheel with 30 bolts, aluminum outters, forged 5-spoke center. The center is powder-coated "black". The wheels will need to be resealed with a silicone sealer since they have sat this long without a tire on them. They are very light in weight.

Let me know if you're interested.

For my Ruby, I need to replace the headliner, the driver's visor, and the rear speakers. I just had the A/C Programmer module replaced and now the A/C and heater finally works like it is brand new from the factory, still kinda funky.

For my 89, not a damn thing, except some routine maintenance. The car works very well. I will need to change the oil and adjust the valves before the start of season next year. Also, I will put the car on the scales and see where it is at and have the alignment check. Other than that, my 89 is essentially ready for next year.

I was very happy with the handling this year so no changes will be made except minor shock and/or sway bar setting changes as required for that particular event.

This will be the first winter that my 89 will not spend the entire winter in some shop or paint jail. The car will stay with me this year which is the first time in 3 years.

Winter 2017 Projects
  • Replace ribbon window regulators with scissor style
  • Fab a custom shift boot for the B&M Stealth Pro ratchet shifter
  • Undercoat the body
  • Fine detail wire management under the hood

This is the shortest winter list I've had in a long time! Kind of nice

Next will be a semi-annual check of the oil levels in the differential and manual transmission... while it's on jack stands, I will inspect the underside. And of course driving it as much as possible. (In the near future I have plans for new spark plugs and plug wires, new brake hoses, new power steering hose and a few other small items.)

Change differential fluid, brake fluid, cooling system flush and fill. New A and B pillar weatherstripping, hatch carpet and a new shifter console. Then a professional paint restorer to fix the chips and scratches. Lastly I will either have the factory wheels restored or get some GS wheels, haven't decided yet. Plan is to get it all done by April.

Change out the pumkin for a better ratio (which I alreaydhave in the garage) and change out the rear end for the D44 which I also have in the garage, change the runners and intake which I already have in the garage and get that damn hood to open . Then fix the heater/ac controls.

Have to pull and send the ECM out for rebuild. Then need bigger injectors. Someone put a vortech on the car and left the stock injectors and it runs out of steam around 4700 rpm on the dyno. Actually starts dropping HP. Then I want to put a methanol injection since its not intercooled and its a pita to intercool a C4.

Big list of things to do to get my 89 ready for Bloomington Gold next summer. And since I live in Florida, have to do them while in the middle of car show season.

Put original parts back in that the other 4 owners changed out:
- horns
- headlights
- correct screws in the dash
- hood strut
- wheels

Take off the things they added that are not stock:
- exhaust extensions
- plastic door sill covers
- hard wired the fans to run continuously
- splash guards
- painted calipers

I still need to find factory Goodyear tires which is becoming the hardest task. Still have 6 months to locate a set. Wish me luck.

Got to find someone that can reconnect the heater blend door rod to both the door and motor. Both plastic clips broke. My hands and other joints won't allow crawling under the dash anymore. It is cold and wet in Aloha, Oregon now. Need some interior heat, well at least I'd like some heat.
