I went and put on my teflon, nomex suit with some chain mail undergarments just in case I get flamed or stoned. I haven't quite figured out a defense for tarred and feathered yet, but I am hoping the teflon over nomex helps let the tar slide off and not stick.
But I actually like it. There are still kits for doing this. If someone had a beater that they were redoing anyway, it might be cool to have a new look. Not quite C4, not quite C5 but has nice lines from both.

That's actually the best executed one of those kits I've ever seen. I've seen a few others over the years but usually it's not the entire kit, or it didn't fit well, or the paint was off or nonexistent, or any combination of the above. But really, if you want a C5 just buy one.
