Z51 springs
I have installed essentially the 88-91 Z51 package on my car. Has anyone used the 84 Z51 rear spring with the FCB Z51 front spring? Thoughts?

I imagine many have used the very early rear springs and I would imagine that thoughts would be very dependent upon what someone was after in a suspension package - what are your intentions?
Just do it and you'll either be very happy - not so happy maybe or just damn aggravated. Come back and mention your thoughts.

You won't like it. TOO stiff of a ride and it makes the car handle funny at the limit. You'd need to adjust your sway bar sizes as well. Setup SCCA BSP C4's typically have very stiff springs and FRONT bars. Many use a small or smallest bar available for a C4 on the Rear or NONE at all. It has to do with roll centers, total roll stiffness, and suspension geometry.
The 88-90 Z51 springs are good enough and well balanced with the factory Z51 sway bars.
