Lets talk spoilers

BEFORE: In 1999 when purchased. Felt it needed something too. High-rise hood and sidepipes really made it look empty in the back.
AFTER: Bumpers off a 1995 with hood, pipes, and wing. (Also 2-tone interior and 383 stroker). Like the post above said....Go big or go home!
Note: Wing is the general shape of the Impala wing near the top.

Not cheap and juvenile. Just different. Personally I don't want my car to look like every other c4 on the road. Just my opinion. I bought mine with the kit on it already and I like it. But no way would I spend the money to buy one, paint it, and install it. C4's are just a little boring to me stock.

Ultimately, the spoiler selection hinged around a complete repaint that failed to cover the "shaved" antenna hole. This wing was the only one that covered up the flaw w/o requiring the shop to reshoot one panel....something I wasn't crazy about after shooting the whole car.
Some days I hate it. Some I think it looks like a "super car". When I second-guess the wing, I consider how imbalanced it would look with the hood/pipes.
I also wish someone (no member names were "killed" in the typing of this thread LOL) would have succeeding in bringing back the M1 front spoiler. They were the best by far....though it's hard NOT to bend/break something down under.

johnnymo, that spoiler looks great. I have C6 wheels on my '96, I think yours are the same as mine. Could you tell me what size tire? Stock 285's? and it looks like your running adapters, i need them also, how wide are those adapters? thanks.

At one point, I considered newer, larger diameter wheels too. Ended up being a bit concerned the car would "hit" harder...as have my other cars when going to larger wheels with lower profile tires. How did that work for you guys on the vette?
18's and 19's....????

I'm running an 18X11 with a 315 on the front and an 18 1/2 with a 335 on the rear. My front fenders are extended 1 1/2" on each side and the rears are 2 1/2" on each side.

You didn't exactly address the point you quoted but this give me the chance to say how MUCH I like your car. I did the way you molded your rear bumper and (as already posted), I'm big on extended wheel flares too.
Nice car!

Some one say "Stock"? Here's my other C4 (Ruby LT1 6 Speed ZO7) and it is bone stock, except for the Koni "Yellow" Single Adjustable Shocks. I hated the FX3 shocks.
