I decided 1.52's. Later I will make it up with a cam. I sidetracked some of my money into tires for my wife's car so she would be safe driving to work in the snow. It took away some of what I would have had to spend on springs and such.

I have a bunch of quality firearms that I will be selling and some of that money will go towards porting the heads, the heavy duty batwing Zip sells for Dana 36's, and other parts to make the car better.

So the plan once it gets warm enough to work in the garage is to drain the block, put on the refurbed Opti I bought, probably a true roller timing chain, a new harmonic balancer and the powder coated intake I recently purchased.

I am thinking that I am also going to get a Jet unit and a refurbed XP laptop so I can do my own tweaking. Plus it will help when I go to the dyno, as most folks around here don't have the interface for a '96.

One of the elves, strangely he was in a fedex truck, stopped by and said my present was going to throw the CG of the sleigh off so he brought it by early, but I can't open it till Christmas.

The Box says TIG welder, wonder what could be inside.

On the 3rd day before Christmas, Santa talked some sense into me...... so I swapped them out, and got new springs to boot.

In a week or so, I am going to go get my dad's old kerosene heater to warm up the garage and start working on the Vette. I might pull the heads and gasket match and do a mild porting job, I am putting in a new Opti-spark, have to get a new harmonic balancer. Then I will start putting in the Banski rear suspension, the new shocks, the new Del-rin front A-arm bushings. By the time Ohio Corvette weather comes around it should be a pretty nice ride.

Who knows, I might even get ambitious and put a cam in.
