Wheel inquiry
I already know people are going to bash me for this, but I am being serious.
Will Chevy s10 wheels match my 84 lug pattern?
I need to put some studded tires on, it is my only car.

To the O/P probably not. While the lug pattern may work the backspace will most likely not. Besides your car came with 8.5" wide wheels and maybe 9.5" in the rear. The best you're going to do that fit your wheels is 245/50-16 All Season. Do you already have the S10 wheels? If so try to bolt it on. If not pass.

The lug pattern is correct at 5x4.75". There are even a few 16x8 choices from the later S-10s to choose from, and on a 1984 C4 you might even be able to fit 15" wheels (the issue is clearing the brakes - depends on the wheel's barrel shape). I doubt 14" wheels would fit over your brakes up front.
The real question is the offset/backspacing. The narrower you go, the less it matters in terms of fitment. But the smattering of offset dimensions I saw in a very hasty Google search showed 1.97" offset for a 15x7 in 1984 S-10 options. That's a 50mm offset, and I think it would work at that width (might be too much if the wheel were wider). If you have the chance to try one on each end of the car, go for it. If you have to buy them untested, I would not do it.

As said, the bolt pattern will work. The only thing in question is the offset. Your best bet is the first gen S10 4x4, which has an offset, but I do not think its as much as your vette. Now if the offset does not effect you, the height of the tires will need to be addressed.

I don't know that anyone is watching this thread now but, what will work from experience is 1st generation Camaro Rally wheels with P215/65R15 studded snow tires. I ran that combination for years in the winter in Colorado on my '84. The early C4s have small brakes and 15 inch Chevy steel Rally wheels from the early Camaros bolt right up. If you are close to Denver, PM me I've got a set of 4 that are orphans since I moved up to a '96 with different off-sets and big brakes.
