Default Where does your Corvette live in the winter.

Where do you store your Corvette in the winter? or do you drive it all year? I'm curious what other Corvette owners do with thier cars in the winter months.

Mine stays in the workshop under a car cover, a space heater keeps the room at 50-60F and I have it on a smart charger.

I try to start it once every few weeks.

How about you?

Run it every 1 to 2 weeks and drive it if the roads are clear of salt and slag.

Mine stays in the garage. I open the door and start it every once in a while.

I drive mine year round but only on days where I know 100% that it will not rain snow sleet flurry burp or fart. On those days it is covered up and parked on a platform under my son's tree house which is 10 x 10, and about 10' off the ground.

Uhh, the same place it stays in the spring, summer and fall.... Southern Colorado is an awesome place to be a Vette owner... we get all the seasons and yet the humidity is so low that the snow is off the streets usually in a day or two... No need for a winter hibernation here.

The jetskis take a holiday from October until April, but the vette is my DD.

Lucy has modest overnight accommodations. So far, rain hasn't melted her.

Put it away in November, full tank Stabil 93 octane, battery maintainer on, tire pressure 35 lb, Lexol the leather, car cover on, sleep until april. No mid winter starts...one dry start in the spring is bad enough.

Thanks for sharing everyone. Its cool to hear what other people do.

Nice shop Randy M. looks like you have a nice car collection there. Is that a third gen Camaro under the cover next to your C4 corvette?

That is an enviable climate you live in would be fun to have nice weather all year. All the best at your race on Jan 6th.

Here in Canada there is snow on the ground right now and its not worth if for me to insure the corvette for the few nice days we get in the winter.

Why yes it is. It is a 91 Z28 with a 5.7. I bought it brand spanking new. Here are some pics.

No special treatment as you can drive 12 months a year in Texas.

Took this picture last week. I used to live in Chicago. There is NO WAY you would consciously live in snow once you have lived without it.

My 3 get driven every one to two weeks during the winter. Why, they even get driven in the rain sometimes, and not one of them has melted or shrunk into an Opel GT, yet.
It is great to enjoy them all year long.
