Default rear hatch weather strip question(s)

hey everyone

I am finally getting a chance to buy new rear hatch seal (after several patch jobs on the old) and I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with either of these "new designs" from zip or corvette central?

http://www.zip-corvette.com/84-96-re...ed-design.html

https://www.corvettecentral.com/c4-8...2bweatherstrip

or if there is another usa seal that would be better?

with an investment like that I want to get the best I can afford (if possible)

any help would be greatly appreciated

Sean

thanks

After reading all of that - are you satisfied with the end result?

I have not looked at the steel rubber seal - but at a glance the corvette central zip and wilcox all look to be the same - or at least very similar.

thanks

As I said, the job came out better on round 2 but I'm very happy with the results. Mine is a daily driver, so function is paramount.

Willcox often has a discount code, so I got the best price (and the same product) from them.

Contrary to the instructions, corners first worked best for me.

Good luck!
George
