wheel tilt and move seat forward - back
I just got an '84 C4
Very hard to get in and out of.
Does the steering wheel tilt or move up, and how?
The seat will move back but not forward how to fix?
I am not familiar with this forum. If this thread is in the wrong place could an administrater move it?

There should be a small lever on the left side of the column behind the turn signal close to the dash. Pull it towards you to tilt column up or down.

Assuming it is a power seat, the fact that is does not move properly points to the seat transmission. Does it make a whirring or grinding noise? You can get a rebuilt one.

Yes it does have power seats. The seat moves back but not forward. I will try and find a quite spot to see what if any sounds are coming when trying to move it forward.

Safety Car
As you learn how to enter and exit your new Corvette, It's too easy to get into the bad habit of pulling on the steering wheel to get out of the car. This will absolutely cause problems in the future!! The steering column tilt mechanism isn't built to be a tow bar, and will be damaged by this action! Try different techniques until you find one that will allow you to enter and exit the car without touching the steering wheel. It IS possible!
Before you replace the motor assembly, it would be good to check the electrical system. It might be something simple! Here's the diagram for your '84 from my '84 FSM. You'll find the FSM (with electrical supplement) very valuable!
