Keep it for sale or?
List up again in March? It does get cold here in Dallas. We were in the upper teens and lower 20s last week. Guess that is stopping "corvette buyers". You guys know my car. I had it at 8,200 for about 4 month. Only 2 people came to look at it. Not many calls/texts either. Kinda annoyed trying to sell it. Still want my 6 speed, absolutely. But annoyed. I'll be upgrading the stereo to make me feel better Sorry to make another thread on this.
So list it in Spring, or keep it for sale?

The DFW market is soft for the moment. Plus, there are several POS that shine nicely at a lower price point. The uninformed will not know what you have coupled with there is a FLOOD of C5 and (becoming) lower priced C6s.
I see your posting and it looks like a great car. Your price is fair, so if you are in no hurry, wait it out. March will be here soon.

Beautiful Ruby! Stay positive and stay the course. I know it’s tough when you get that itch for something but the right person will come along to appreciate what you have. Ken

We took a short drive yesterday to look at an unusual turquoise metallic '91 with 49K miles. Might have brought it home but for weird electrical glitching and drivability issues.
The point is, I shop year 'round, but pulling the ad temporarily might help reduce the appearance of urgency on your part.
I liked the line in the ad for the one we looked at: "Please buy this car so my son will stop pestering me to keep it."
Good luck!

I would keep it up for sale.
When I have been trying to sell mine, I have had poor response to ads. If not a good response I would try advertising in a different place. For example a local Craigslist, then a different Craigslist, then AutoTrader, then our local Wheeler Dealer, etc.
The point is if you are not getting response, try something else. A lot of people only look at one source and if they don't see it they do not look further. You just need to find a way to get the one right person to see what you have and get them hooked. It only takes one.
Good luck.

Are you listing it only or do you have it roadside somewhere as well? Like last fall when I sold mine it was all about the location, I say keep it listed.

Ever tried trading in at a dealer for a c4 6 spd if that is really what you want?
If you look at it most dealers don't want a c4, yours is nice and auto which to a dealer might be easier to sell these days to the general public.
lets say you feel like you are taking a 2k loss on it trading it on on what you want... I figure it saves the money, parts, and labor to do a swap which you are almost willing to do.
Try that?

If you really want a 6 speed car, take out a loan, go buy what you want, and then just keep the ruby for sale until it sells.... then use the proceeds to pay down what you borrowed....

Do you take the car to work and put it somewhere highly visible with a for sale sign? I think someone might see it and realize how nice it is and have to have it. My wife laughed at me for trying to sell my Mom's car with a sign, but 30 minutes after I put the for sale sign up I had a neighbor look at the car and buy it that day.

The more exposure the better. I used CL, the forum and ebay for several months when selling my C6 with no luck. Then put it on Car Gurus and it sold after just a couple of days. I noticed that there are different types of people that responded to where my ad was placed. CL was the bottom with CG being the folks that could afford the price.

I may be in your dilemma by 2019. Next spring, I'm going to start spreading the word "for sale" by word-of-mouth. I have a very clean 92 auto with less than 60,000 miles, G44, Bose Gold, Sport Seats and FX3. Everything works. Also, the manager of a local garage has a personal attachment to this car as he knew the previous owner of 12 years.

There are people around that will be looking for good C4's come spring. I will be willing to travel for the right car when the time comes.
Thats just to say, its just a matter of finding the right buyer.
