If you have your stock bolts put the wrong ones in the wrong holes and see what happens. A dry mock up.
If this is a kit I assume they did their home work for what length won't have interference, but thread engagement etc is not going to be the same obviously.
Years ago I removed and replaced my intake a couple time for different reasons and I kind of remember the bolt were not interchangeable, but maybe the 1" is medium ground and work

why not re use the original bolts. GM engineers spent a lot of time figuring out what was best.

Yea, why would you say that? (Benny42) There is nothing at all wrong with torx bolts and screws.... The key is have high quality tools (torx sockets) both male and female... this way it doesnt strip out the points of the torx.

Melting Slicks
I had the driver side, near the firewall torx bolt strip out when trying to remove it while I was removing the intake on my 88. I was pulling the heads off. I was using quality tools. I tried a T-45 and an Allen socket. Neither worked. Needless to say after using a Dremel to cut a grove on the bolt, I chiseled it off. The bolt had seized into the head. The engine shop sold me replacement bolts that had a 3/8 inch/ 6 point cap on top.
In hindsight I should have pulled the motor. Nothing like grinding and making sparks with fuel nearby. I did use a fire blanket.

They strip pretty easy if there any corrosion on the engine. Mine wasn't a pristine, garage kept, zero mile example, so it took a die grinder to get the intake off. Hex heads or allen is better. This is all personal experience and my opinion, use it how you wish.
