Here's a neat thread about Don Johnson's Callaway:

Throughout the period between 94-97 I handled several warranty repairs on Ted Nugents Zr1. Like many Chevrolet customers, he disappeared after the warranty ran out. I think he came back once for a customer pay repair. An intermittent no start that ended up being the a vats problem. I don't know if he sold the car or what, and I never got to talk to him, but always had the impression he took good care of that car.

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021
C4 of Year Finalist (performance mods) 2019
I had the opportunity to buy the C4 that Tom Cruise drove in Rock of Ages up in Gatlinburg TN, I drove up there and it was a glorious POS. It had been cheaply repainted for the movie and it was in rough shape. I passed on it, it would've taken me 5K in repair to get it presentable before I even swapped the engine over.

On a totally unrelated note .... The Corvette is not a very good cannonball car. In fact, not even one Corvette has been under the 36 hr mark on the Red Ball to Portofino run. The Corvettes fatal flaw for cannonball, is there's no genuinely good way to increase fuel capacity. Even if a guy was willing to have fuel in the passenger compartment, there's no safe way to secure the fuel cell to the floor pan. Its a shame too, because the c4 and c5 cars have no grille and pop up headlights, which is helpful when evading/jamming police laser. Plus they still get over 20mpg at 100 mph, which is nice.

There's trash, but fortunately, there's also class. As an example of the latter, may I offer the following:
in a mid 90's French movie, Catherine Deneuve, the official face of beauty in France, meets her boyfriend in Paris.
"may I take you for a ride"
"but it is so low";
"I know, all the women love it, get in"
Its a red C4 convertible they're talking about.
