The 1992 I bought last spring had the issue where the antenna would only go up part way. If I wanted good reception on the radio I would just get out and pull it all the way up, and if not careful, out. Today we pulled the antenna body out and replaced the mast and now it goes up and down correctly, it seems the only thing I am missing is the antenna nut, which was missing when I bought it. I can see some threads sticking up through the grommet , I should just be able to slide it over the antenna and tighten it up, correct? It seems the antenna came with a tool to install the nut. The only option I can find is this $25 one, which seems expensive, any other options out there?
