Default Where does this clip go?

I found this clip laying in the engine compartment, just above the upper control arm. Where does it go?

I'm gonna guess, and say it is a locking clip(a shock stud perhaps??). The straight section slides through a hole in a threaded (bolt), and the curved spring section slides over the circumference of the (bolt) - with some tension which keeps it from coming off.

Someone else OR your FSM will have to shed more light on just WHERE it might go.

Sorry I couldn't be more hep!

Look for an unexploded grenade under the hood.

Almost appears to be an old retaining clip used on the transmission TV cable which is located on the throttle body.

Has anyone been working on the cruise servo? That style retainer would be substituted by some for the correct retainer at the cruise servo. Actually when using the 'dime' as a size reference that looks to be to large. I'd say that it's actually 'expanded' somewhat judging from the shape of it so who knows!!

GOOGLE 15567924 for what is generally used correctly at the servo.

That is a quarter in the picture! No work on the cruise control that I know of.

LOL - That's funny as he!! I really didn't pay any attention to the coin I was trying to relate to something actually used in the vicinity.

Cant remember on a 93 but if the hood has the small additional hood supports between the headlights (can be added if didnt come with oe) looks like the pin that hold those small hood shocks in place.

That's a very good thought and looking a 2d time is likely. Most add 2 supports at each hood hinge. I've seen a car with just a single added.

The OP's '93 wouldn't have these originally.

When I look at the clip vs the quarter, it looks much too large to be from a hydraulic lift cylinder like is on my 86. I do not recognize something that size on my car. Maybe on something newer but nothing I've seen on mine.
