Regarding 0-60 times, my '14 Focus ST is 5.9 & my '13 Mustang GT is 4.3. Both are modified pretty decent so I should get a good tenth or two off of these times.

Just different rides for different kinds of fun.

It's like opening day of deer season here. The world pretty much stops.

My other 'fun vehicle' has no 0-60 time. It won't quite make 60....all 19481 lbs of it. Kaiser Jeep 5 ton...

53" tires, 6 cylinders the size of my head. 6 wheel drive. It's just silly, but my kids love it.

LOLOL ....
Love that show.
Inspired by true events too. ... Right down to the two chicks (who were fast) in the Countach and the guy on the motorcycle.
For those that care, the present record from the Red Ball garage / Manhattan to the Portofino Inn / Redondo Beach is 28 hours and 50 minutes with a moving average speed of 100.2 miles per hour. A truly astonishing record that will very likely never, ever, be broken.

"You all are certainly the most distinguished group of highway scofflaws and degenerates ever gathered together in one place.". Kind of like this forum. Haha

I bet that " turd " as you say will be the one every one will be checking out.

The Countach is somewhat impractical ( look up factory method for backing up ) and to many even "gaudy" but what a presence. Reminds me of the first Viper I checked out in person as I just could not get my eyes off of it.

So this brings me to what I like most about the C4 ; It is what the early Vipers were not as in sophisticated, refined and for the money a car you can feel good about driving. Last year I really considered buying a Viper but after comparing all aspects to my '95 C4 I knew I had the better fit for myself.

Of course 20 years from now The Viper may be worth a heck of a lot more but that is ok as I will have 20 years of great driving memories.
Nice camera angle. Really does the car justice!

If your driving an early C4 you do not have to look at that silly square shaped steering wheel with and air bag. The raw feel of early high performance cars like the earlier corvettes and older muscle cars. They rode harsh and were loud inside. The way the early Z51 cars handle and steer. You feel you are in a race car. They are not easy cars to exit and enter. Neither were the early corvettes. When I hear the complains from C4 owners about harsh ride and rattles you kind of think some of them should be driving a luxury sports car like a Mercedes.

I guess it’s the way you sit so low in the cockpit...that go cart feel everyone talks about...like my *** is going to drag on the street. Back in the 70’s when I was a kid, I would go down the shore and look at all of the iron on tee shirts you would be able to get. My parents would usually let me get one per year...I would get like a 55 or 57 Chevy or maybe the beach name. The Corvette one was out of the question because it said “wrap your *** in fiberglass” with a picture of a C3. I knew to not even ask. I knew what they meant in the literal sense...but until I actually drove one my mind came back to that shirt. I literally feel like I’m wrapped in fiberglass! It’s true...you do “wear” your vette! Fits like a glove!

The C6 ZR1 is selling for $50,000- $60,000. Compare a Corvette mentioned to a car of equal value and my money is on the Corvette.
you put $23,000 into it ?
