Rear window louvers?
With or without? 1 piece or 3 piece? I'm gonna be getting the 3 piece and paint it white

Yep, pure 80's. Louvers came on a used 1987 Honda CRX Si that I traded a Wrangler for back in the day.
The functionality is undeniable. But so is the hideousness and the blindspots. I took it off the CRX because it even made a HONDA look bad.

look on how many 80's Camaros, Firebirds, and Fox body Mustangs got the louvers . I one time I saw a 87 Monte SS areo coupe with them

I had a set like shown on the Grand Sport on my '84. It was a matter of staying cool during the summer. The louvers worked really well in keeping the temps down and made the AC much more effective. That huge rear hatch is a really effective greenhouse. A word of caution to the OP: the adhesive used on the mounts is good for about one season on a daily driver. The constant tension gradually pulls it off the glass. The lower mounts are especially impacted. Check them often and replace at least annually with a good (3M) double sided all weather tape.
One other thing... they turn cleaning the rear glass into a half-hour job.

I don’t remember their brand name, but they were easy to install and remove.

The louvers I had were like the brown C4 and the blue Camaro and they had clips at the bottom that you unclipped and the whole louver would rotate up at the top hinges to make cleaning the rear window very easy.

I think the ones you are writing about were made by CRAGER and were a higher quality and price (looked but couldn't find a set at the time).

Same same on the Z-28 I bought my daughter back in the 80's. It did keep the heat down in the "goldfish bowl".

I had one of those things on a 1977 Plymouth Arrow GT back in 1978. It got a ton of laughs from everyone even way back then! WTF was I thinking? Looks even worse on a Corvette.
