Default I've been cheating on my C4's...I bought a C6

As much as i love the C4 (and don't see that changing)...i just cant stop staring at the beautiful C6 so I broke down and bought a 2006 Base 3LT.
I got lucky, this car is a 2-owner (2nd owner had it since 2008 in a dry climate). Clear history, documented service, Halltech Air Intake, Corsa's and a quality Tint job...everything else appears to be stock. This thing is clean

Congrats on your purchase of your new C6. It is amazing that these cars can be found that still look like brand new and some still have the new car smell.

Your car looks fantastic! I wish you many miles of smiles.

Thanks!!
I was looking for another toy but was searching for a C5 FRC...i didn't think i could afford a C6 but this baby was about the same price as a nice C5 so no-brainer. i was shocked how nice this was when i got to the dealer...couldn't be happier

Its a totally different car than a C4 (but that's good) so the C6 will be my daily driver and the C4 is for when i want to grin ear-to-ear running through the gears

I have a 13 GS and an 89 Vert, they are very different cars that I love in very different ways. The GS just can't be beat for raw power and handling, but the 89 feels more connected to the road. Maybe it is the tighter cockpit like interior, or just the new vs old thing, but they are both great cars. Good luck and enjoy your new C6.

Nice car , congrats! I bought my 09 just a little over a year ago and never stopped driving it putting 10'000 miles on it compared to maybe 500 on my 96. The difference as we all know is the "feel" the C4 you just want to blast it thru the twisties run it hard here and there, whereas the C6 while it can do that, to me I just want to get it out on the highway open it up for a long trip. Enjoy it either way!

I also bought a silver C6 a few years ago.. Don't expect as many guys on the C6 forum to be mechanics and do their own work, not like we have on the C4 forum..Most of them just drive the cars, and if something breaks they go to a shop to have the car fixed..There are a few mechanics , but not many...WW

Nice car!

My my dad has the exact same C6, Corsa exhaust and haltech intake as well.

Wife and I drove it down to the museum bash last year and did the bourbon trail as well. Really fell in love with the car after that. Enjoy!

Clean looking C6, with a nice set of "starter kit" options!

I wonder what that black panel is for, that covers the air filter?....

I think it is to keep hot underhood air away from the AF. My GS (stock) gets pretty much ambient intake air (give or take a degree or two) when the car is moving, so I doubt it is necessary.

lots of posts, thanks again guys

I just hope that when the time comes to fix a thing or two its tolerable to work on it. actually I'm getting a little squeal, possibly from the tensioner but i will need to look closer. didn't notice it on the test drive, it doesn't squeak when its cold, only after it warms up a bit
