Default 85 corvette center console thingy....

My boyfriend and I both have 85 corvettes, and mine has this cover over the power mirror controls in the center console between the shifter and the console box, and I have no idea what the heck it is called. I can't seem to find one anywhere to find out what it is called. Does anyone know what this darn thing is called?

My 89 had one when I bought it. It is an aftermarket accessory. I am not sure if they are still available, check with the forum vendors.

It's called a C4 Corvette Console Seat Control Lid Cover.

Here's a link to it -

Looks like a long lead time to get one.

That sounds like as good a name as any.

Check the various Vette part vendors along with EBay. I think I got mine off Ebay last year.

Mid America Motorworks makes them up as needed, just ordered mine, approximately 2 weeks delivery time.
$23.00 + $10.00 Shipping.

I should go dig mine out of the shop if they are going for that much. Talk about the "Corvette tax".

Go figure!!! I found about a foot long crack in my windshield this morning and immediately thought "Oh crap there goes $1,500.00."

Called one of the biggie glass replacement firms.....$420.00, and I don't even have to get out of my recliner.

Not bad. I am waiting for Safelite to get back to me on a windshield for my 13 GS w/HUD.
