I am getting ready to get everything thing I need to install a Corsa exhaust just as Joe C did a couple years back on his 85. My main question is.... Does it eliminate the low rpm drone that occurs up to around 1500 rpm. When I was reading about the mufflers on the Corsa site, it mentioned 'no droning at crushing speed, which in my case , there is no issue at crusing speed.I just wanted to check with the Forum before I ordered the Corsa system. I notice that Corsa markets the system for 1986-1991 but not the 1985. I was wondering what the difference is.
the difference is in the main cat's mating flange. in order to install a corsa system on the 85, the exhaust system needs to be upgraded to the 86-91 configuration - new front y-pipe and main cat. there is also an exhaust hanger just behind the main cat that needs to be added. everything else is pretty much plug and play. flowmaster has a nice, catless front y-pipe and hi-flow main cat in stainless.
