Pologreen did a thread and asked what vette would you want if you could have anything.. A bunch of people listed a C2 as their ideal vette.

I need another project like I need a hole in the forehead, but I tried to buy the C2 by itself, but he won't break it up. 10K for all, or nothing.

I asked about title status and the owner replied with this:

If the c2 was 10k, I'd buy it. But he wants people to make offers on all of that stuff. The c2 will definitely be more than 10k, lol.

Sounds like a lot of fairy dust. If it exists at all the condition is probably "once up on a time" as described.

I know someone who picked up a C2 (1967), 427, 4M and drove it home (150 miles) for $10k, it was a wreck. A year later he finished the project. If I remember correctly he said he had $40k into it. Took it out ONCE for a test drive and was flagged over in a parking lot by a BMW driver. The guy wrote him out a check for $100k on the spot.

In the last 4 years I have ha the opportunity at 3 c2's for 22-27k and very nice driver / cheesy car show.

Most people are just inflating and abusing the market on those things, but dopes pay it so...
