Default Convertible top install in Denver or DFW areas

I'm looking at getting the top replaced on my 96 vert and am looking for shop recommendations in either the Denver or Dallas/Ft. Worth areas. My car is normally in Denver but I'm planning to drive it to the DFW area for the week of the 4th of July. Does anyone have any experience with top installers in either of those two locations?

My recommendations is to go to State you want it done, and go to your local dealership, and ask who you sub contract out to do your tops, dealership don't do tops, they send car out.

Then if they give you who, go and check them out, for cleanliness and look see what there doing in the shop to get idea what shop you want them to do, I also recommend you replace your headliner, it doesn't come with new tops.

That's an excellent suggestion, hadn't even considered that. My headliner's actually in good shape so I wasn't planning to replace it. Is there actually a need for it if, as I say, it's in good condition?

DFW? Call up Corvette World I believe they will install. I know they do full service on Vettes as well.

Just a question on this same topic. My top is in excellent condition and looks perfect except the plastic window has fogged and has a brownish color on it. The rubber seals are also in great shape and seal very good. The question is do I have to replace a complete top just to get a new rear window???

Most shops will replace the complete top, they don't sell the window by itself.
If you decide to replace with glass window, make sure you get place that has done it, and you need a kit installed so the top bends properly when lowering the top.

Thanks for the reply 1bdvet.
Just hate to replace this top when it looks so good and seals so well it the fitment is so good. But I guess it is what it is. Might hold off a bit right now though just because of the window fogging a bit.

When they replace a top, they don't touch any seals, they stay exactly in place, new tops don't come with seals.
