Should I Install or sell this wing?

11 yrs later, I'm still 50/50 after having put it on. OK...maybe 60/40 for it's removal. IOW, you'll never decide for sure. That said, I agree with putting one on...though I'm not sure I like the GTO model. On "flat-butt" early C4's, I'm kinda partial to the original Greenwood model (aka "Motorsports" IIRC). The reason I'm not big on the GTO model is it looks kinda "stick-on". For that particular shape, it's great if molded into the rear bumper from the get-go. There's a member who did just that and HIS looks sweet.
Is that hood scoop "riveted" on? Is that a different car than you used to own? I thought you had an LT car.

To me it's about making my car, MINE. It's about being unique. Coming from the world of Harleys, I find 99% of Corvettes boring as hell to look like. There is very little individuality that I see, just a **** load of bolt on and most of that carbon fiber. Everything is cookie cutter. Look at the world of other cars such as Camaro's and Mustangs and I find much more originality in them.
I am looking at putting a wing on my C6 for looks since I have no plan to track the car. We are mocking one up in foam to get the design I want and then will 3D scan it and then have it 3D printed.
Think outside the box!!!

I had the same dilemma 11 years ago. Hi-rise hood and sidepipes screamed for something in the rear -- to balance. I also was 50/50 for a wing.

The scoop is a bolt on scoop. I bought a single plane intake set up that was supposed to fit under and did not, it did close but felt like it might crack eventually. Never get around to finishing the scoop, I guess it i was not ideal, but it seems to work and look better than I expected. I should have listened to Jim and get my MR intake worked over and kept it on my 434 and had the stock hood.
The stock motor had several intakes and this 434 has had a couple intakes.
Now it is a Motown and carb, and the computer was not handling any tuning people could throw at it, so carb was my quick fix. Thought the computer still controls everything else but the fuel.

It would give the car a more aggressive rear look.
Go for it.
also more pics of your car please. Black on polo green looks better than I thought. Any daylight (sunny) pics?
Thanks!

mold the spoiler and the scoop in.
I didnt know the only people that buy these insist it has to be stock.

What? There are many owners who buy them and keep them as close to stock as they can for various reasons. Open your eyes. Lots of us like the original designs of the car. This forum has a few guys on it who insist on tricked out cars just as much as those of us who insist on factory stock. The stock guys just don't throw so many insults out unless we're "asked" our opinions. Then it's all out. C4's were originally designed to be sports cars. Not race cars. We get it. We like it. We'll keep them that way.

Neither. Kill it with fire.

It is actually a decent looking piece. Hard to say if it'll actually do anything down force wise but it at least looks decent. You can always put it on. It is a lot harder to remove especially if it bolts on. The holes would haunt me if I did lol.

I'm pretty sure it will help with down force, Definitely more than than is there with nothing.

Yea. It's not gonna be like a ZO6 where you let off the gas ant it actually noticeably drags you or anything but it'll do something. Just the little bit of weight will help.
