Default Budget truck and car trailer, anyone use?

Has anyone ever used a budget rental truck and their full car carrier to transport a C4? If so any issues with clearance?

watching the video on their site the only part I'd be concerned with is stops at the front of the trailer catching on the front lip.

For what it's worth, I transported my 94 on the u-haul trailer with no issues whatsoever.

Thanks that's what I was thinking. They look like i could unbolt them during loading then put them back on when car is in place. Or I could put a 2x12 under the front wheel at that location to clear it. Do you know how high the front lip is off the ground. I don't have the car yet so cant measure myself.

When I bought mine I used 2 x 12's under the front tires and the lip cleared. It was a U-Haul.

I believe about three inches ground clearance.

U haul trailer lets you rotate the fenders down and with my lowered car on 2x10 on front tires was able to open door

The uhaul trailer is a nice piece. Surge brakes, flip down fenders, and tire straps instead of frame ones. I've used them a couple times now. Last thing I had on one was the firebird. I also had a 328i on one too. The only down side is they're open but if you don't mind that then it's fine.

I did the U haul trailer twice. About 1700 miles each time (IL to AZ, AZ to IL)

Both times it worked fine with no damage to the car.

The only issue was the clearance for loading/unloading. I removed all three sections of the front air dam for more clearance and it was still close. For loading unloading I looked for a place that the ramps would be a little higher such as backing the trailer up to a slight hill or something. When I unloaded, I stumbled across a parking lot that had a curb and the area behind the curb was flat at the higher level, so the ramps were nearly straight. That worked great.

I never tried the Budget trailer, but it might be similar.

Good luck.
