Try asking at the local Corvette clubs, I know a couple of members in our club in Biloxi have ZR 1. Mississippi Gulf Coast Corvette Club on Facebook.

Cory Henderson of Henderson Performance Technologies in New Braunfels, TX is your guy. Cory is an engineer who's experience dates back to his tenure at Mercury Marine, working on the LT5 project (IIRC).
Great guy. Knows the LT5 like the back of his hand!
Another ZR-1 legend is Marc Haibeck of Haibeck Automotive "The ZR-1 Specialist". Marc is in Addison, IL - a bit farther to go is why I mention Cory first. Either of these two have decades of experience with that motor and the ZR-1 as a whole.
Tell them Paul sent you!
Depending on what you need done, sometimes local Corvette clubs often have leads to sources of expertise as well.

kidtuna,
Depending on what type of work you need done you can likely do it yourself (Time and tools allowing). However Mike Ebert in Slidell is very knowledgeable with the LT5s and can even do full big cube stroker builds.
EDIT: Here is the number to the shop for Mike. (985) 726-0100 The shop, Eberts Engine Service, is his brothers place. If it is something semi easy we have some very knowledgeable ZR-1 owners in the area as well. Jep northshore area (A Mercruiser master tech), Bill NOLA, CJ Monroe, and Myself Alexandria. We were all just talking about getting together in the next month or so as well if you are interested.
