Default A little recognition

I am well grounded and realize this and a dollar something will get me a cup of coffee at McD's, but a bunch of 5,6 and 7 owners voted for our car and we took 1st place for C4's. There were a few there and a bunch of clubs represented with 100+ cars in attendance. The sponsoring club had stipulations in the rules that a person could not vote for someone in their club and that they could only vote for a car once out of the various classes so if we took top C4 we couldn't get in the top 5 coupes, etc.

There were some really nice C2's there, represented by at least 3 big block cars and 1 survivor 327. The paint has some bubbles, but it is completely original.

80% of the cars were 5,6 and 7's.

It was pretty cool having owners of the newer cars stop by and compliment on what we have done with the car.

thanks, the stripes are painted on, not decals. I picked out the colors, told a friend what I wanted and he did the final layout and painting. The stripes are cleared over. I had to fix a couple fisheyes (yes you can fix clear coat) (I have just a bit more sanding with 1500/2000 grit to get a couple spots fixed) and then I will be able to wax/treat the paint.

In our area the sponsoring Corvette club assembles baskets to "Chinese Raffle" off. They also have "split the pot". My wife won this small cookout grill and stuff, more than paid for the tickets she bought.
