I would say if one color I would pick white, so head leak?

Let's assume the worse, what should I offer? $2000?

Head gasket leak, probably why it was parked, but make sure your waterpump is good moving on.
Mine was all jacked up when I bought it I offered 2000 and he took it, before that I said when you fix it I will come back and check it out.

Any reason why you can't get a PDI to KNOW what you are looking at instead of guessing?

I guess I would rather assume the worse then i break even, but if not the worst, then I am ahead.
But then again, I still might take your good suggestion.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...een-coupe.html

no skin in the game, but this is a good price. look at all the work & parts done to this car...

Your looking at what could be an expensive headache ($2K + parts & labor...and the paint...) or $5800. I already have a vette and Cali is a bit far....but look at those pics

CVG...I expect a nice commission...LOL

I'd pay for whatever it is worth LESS what a mechanic says it takes to fix. Don't listen to him say it is an easy fix. If it was that easy, he'd have done it already and avoided this issue.

Assume he would lie to you. They usually are idiots or liars

Worst case, everything is broken and you need a new motor. Actually sometimes it may be cheaper than to fix if it has a cracked block and heads

OK, the engine needs a rebuild.
Went to local Corvette Speciality in Riverside, 4500 for new everything, new pistons, crank, cam, etc...comes with 40.000 mile warrenty
Other recommendation?
If I get for right price, might make sense, new car essentially...
How about a crate engine?
Which crake engine would you pick?
Thanks for any insight.
Shop says, don't bother just doing head gaskets....agree?

So you are into this car for $8500. Do YOU consider it worth say $9000 after you consider that nothing else is wrong? I'd get a PDI to identify any other issues. You'd be surprised how many issues the PO doesn't mention that somehow come to light on a rack. Is there any way to know how the trans and rear end is? What about the rest of the electronics?

Dude.. thats alot of smoke. You seem pretty dead set on this car..ldk

But I have seen cvg323s car in person and you would be 1000% better off buying it vs this car. For sure. Idk where you are but you could fly here buy that car and drive it home with no issues at all.
