Do you feel Special?
Driving around southern California (Orange County area), I see few C4s and earlier Corvettes. If I happen to see a Vette, it's usually a C6 or newer model. This kinda makes me feel Special driving my '96. In another 8 years, I'll feel like I'm driving a collector antique

Safety Car
Out yesterday, I saw a C4 and a pair of C6's. Ironically either they didn't see me or don't know about the wave. I waved at them but nothing in return.
You have a right to feel special, it's a special car.

I see a decent mix. Probably more C5-7 than anything, but I do see a good num er of C4, C3, and a few C1s. What I don't often see are C2s. Most of the C3s I see are 75+,, it's rare to see a chrome bu.per car for me.
it to answer your question, no I don't feel special for driving my c4 or c6.

MEH! If y'all think C4s are rare, try driving a C4 ZR-1 in public...OR try to find a base C4 at the C4 gatherings at the NCM.
Some years back three of us from the local IL ZR-1 gang (Pete, Dominic, and I, representing the FBI guys) showed up at a Corvette Shootout event.
As Pete was lining up his C4 ZR-1 for his second 1/4 mile run with some other club members' C5, someone in the bleachers pointed out;
"A C4 is lining up against (so and so)". Then, another voice said, "That C4 is a ZR-1". And, then another voice said. "What's a ZR-1?"
This was a Corvette drag event. So, I was kinda surprised to hear someone ask that! But, whomever was wondering what a C4 ZR-1 was got his answer...in 11.34 seconds, compared to a 13.x for the C5, IIRC.!

I get a lot of compliments on my half finished 85 here in Cincy. You just don't see C4's that much anymore in this area.
I've been very, very surprised by how much interest a half painted old vette gets here.

If Ive said it once, Ill say it 100 more times.... Just like the 70's/early 80's F-Body cars which there were 2 million built.... how often do you see those anymore? C4's and all cars cool cars will make a return and spark interest as they become fewer and rarely seen on the street. What comes around goes around!

Original '94 owner here. I can look up and see the sky, look around at the cockpit and out over the hood and realize I now drive a Corvette. I actually saw my first C4 this morning, pre-91 with original front fascia black over black. I usually see C5's and newer on my daily ride into work. It always puts a smile on my face to slide behind the wheel close the door and start her up. I haven't seen a chrome bumper model out on the streets since I was a kid. Yeah, I feel pretty special.
