Default WTB-C4 Driveable

Looking for a C4 that's decent car, don't expect showy car for my budget, but don't want anything that can't be driven a couple hundred miles, Thanks for any responses, I live in U.P. Michigan....

Guess when I described what I was looking for I was not specific enough, Good Luck
***easy to see I'm still looking, had a couple responses that have potential--but to far away to make it work I think.

I just did a nationwide search for an '86, manual and got a goose egg.

Maybe you can open up your search parameters to see what's similar out there.

Doesn't have to be only 86-manual------84-90 preferably Manual (not a show car) should fit my range, Thanks

Well, before you had specifics, now you are all over the map. lol

Let me try to help us help you.

You want... TPI intake, round taillights, and a manual.

There are huge differences between '84,'85, early '86, '86',88,'89,'90. Each one of those years had changes.

Nobody looked for arguments with you, you tried to be a jag off to me and others noticed your attitude.

You can learn here to make a decent decision or be classified and written off as a troll as most have and enjoy your CL purchase and come back with a different account to learn on your POS mistake.

'90, drives, can be stick.

What do you need now, since your future self has now totally changed your "specifics"?

OK-to the person who thinks he needs to run every post how he wants...
1. prefer 86-4+3
2. I do understand most of the differences,
3. bottom line is--it's more about (most car for my money)
4. cute how internet has made such tough guy's--read your last sentence PUNK, so you speak for MOST folks on this site (wow)
5. I posted that I wanted a entry level C4 that is around 3500.? and your smart A** responds with a 18K 1990, and your a Idiot for not realizing that's not close to what I wanted, and I would not have to deal with a JURK like you on C.L. (damn wish I could just block you) (my last time spent on you little one)

Sir, Thanks for your response on search, 86 manual was just a preference, my biggest attempt is trying to get most car for my money, that's why I'am NOT saying any Colors or options are a deal breaker, it's just gonna be a driver and parked in store parking lots, not interested in go fast, Thanks again

Your parameters werent listed in this thread, not many are going to search your old ones to see what you want (polos response)

Theres plenty out there like that just have to be patient, they pop up here and there. LT1 cars that are passable can be had for 4-5k

Your correct Sir--was not a lot of parameters because (because I DON"T have a lot of demands) as I'm to old for re-building a car or neither do I want a car I feel bad to drive if it's cloudy out, I've already got a boat, and have gave away enough money over the years having WAY more money in something than it's worth (my boat as example), You are correct about patience--with summer half over I'm thinking how much I'm willing to pay will change accordingly, again THANKS for response and the right car will come along, and BTW there is a lot of great info on this site...

Not to be that guy, but you're a few years late to the party. A running, driving, clean title c4 with a stick is 4000 now, if it has no paint and the seats are destroyed. A semi decent car is 5500 to 6500.

3 or so years ago, you'd have been fine. But I think the tolls of time, and the "vette kart" stuff has really dwindled the number of ugly cheap stick c4s.

Your price range is going to be putting you into the "overheats dont know why", "wont start dont know why", and other cars with some risk to them. Truth is, you probably will have better luck on craigslist than here. This is an enthusiast site, and so people are less likely to have a super trash cheap car. People who will have the super cheap cars don't care, Nd aren't on sites like this.

Guy at the club just got $5k for a 84 with old tires and non-working A/C ( little over 70 thousand miles on the odometer ). Three people were interested.
