Looking at Corvette that is numbers matching. It has an assigned vin tag on the door jamb. What I can find, it was stolen on 12/15/1979 and found being driven on 4/15/1980 ,recovered and returned to Illinois. Nothing was removed. Frame,suspension,rear end,tranny and engine all match the vin.
How much does that hurt the value of the car.

Saw the title, it's a clean title. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Yeah sounds good to me.
I mentioned the title because sometimes a theft car ends up with a salvage title because the insurance company paid it off.
I actually own one lol.
