That's a price I'm willing to pay for such an entertaining bevy of responses (and a few earnest ones, which I also appreciate)

Bought my 1st C4 at 19 and another at 34 - now I'm 36, not white, definitely not black. I have a newer Vette too, but I have C4s because I like them, a lot.

Old white guys are all I see driving C4's around here.
Old white guys are about all I see driving Corvettes around here.

Smaller town in central Kansas, so you have to expect it.

I'm old enough to have had a drivers license when the C-4's first came out. Totally hated their design at that point in time. Bought my first C-4 this past spring and absolutely love it. They have certainly grown on me.

Yes, using math and logic most Corvette owners are white and over 35. Most of the United States is white, and most people do not have disposable income to spend on cars until their later years.
I would imagine that the average age of the owner goes up for each newer generation of Corvette as the prices are higher. C4s are mostly pretty cheap, relatively speaking, so the C4 group is much more likely to have a younger demographic.

I’m definitely a minority. I have a pilots license, actually it’s an ATP. Less than 1/2 of 1% of the US population hold a pilots certificate. (600,000 or so). Before I retired, I commuted from Central PA to JFk and BWI in a Corvette. There were more a few Vettes parked in the crew areas.

The cool new cars of my childhood would have been the 1965 and up Corvette's. In fact I can remember sitting in my third grade class looking out the window when another classmate's brother pulled up in a shiny new Bridgehampton blue Corvette coupe. I can remember it was a big block by the hood and the 454 insignia. I wanted one so badly and wished my brother drove one.

Most teens are buying what they see being modded on the Fast & Furious movies. They want the Japanese Imports or the latest new model Imports which they can't afford. Maybe some like the Mustang, Camaro, Firebird, and Challenger. You can get the older of these pretty reasonable.

some gen x'ers and safe to all millennial's are just too damn lazy to own C4's any way. Too much work for them. Their definition of "maintenance" is swapping out the sound system with a bluetooth unit. They beat on ricers then try to unload them on other non-suspecting other millennial's.

I am, but I might not count because I didn't really intend to be a C4 owner in the first place..
