Default Intake

Covers look great! When I was installing a replacement engine in my previous 95, I painted the block and the intake black, and then sanded the tops of the fins with progressive grits down to maybe 600 or 1000 (can't remember). I think it made the top of the intake look pretty good. Not hard to do either. I'll probably do it to my current 95 this winter.

Thanks for the reply concerning the Corvette Decals/Logo. That is what I did, used a black marker. I have looked around for them, but could not find any.
The Fuel Rail Covers really stand out and they look great.

Before

Stripped

Up close, before paint…

Decided to put this here instead of creating new post. Going to leave the textured black the way it is. I am going to paint the emblems and either get a letter kit or attemp to paint the letters… we’ll see…. Reinstalling trans and new clutch either next weekend or the one after. Dying to drive her…

Here’s a link to the letters If you decide to go that route. Zip has them also, but I had Mid Americas site up on my bitchbox.

back in my younger years I woulda painted mine the pearl white like yours. I think that is wicked sharp. Haven’t run paint through my Sata Jet spray gun in like 8 years and I don’t think taking on a tri coat as my first job back would be wise.. I am very envious though…

I was catching grief from the guys that knew me for quite some time over that paint, it was a custom mix that the paint house made a little too much of…so I got the extra. Standing joke was “Don’t give Tiny anything to paint unless you want it Buick pearl white” . I’m probably the only fella on the east coast with a rotessorie that was wire brushed, sanded, cleaned with alcohol and shot with epoxy primer…then followed up with Buick. Pearl and two coats of clear. Still have some left
