sad !! ive been there 1x. I remember they purposefully had not enough parking spots (and you couldnt park anywhere else) to limit the outsiders that wanted to walk down the ‘rich’s’ beachfront

This is true. Moreover, we have laws that protect the public access to the beach and the millionaires go out of their way to prevent public access to the beaches behind their mansions. Stuff like fake garages and fake structures between the houses to block access from PCH.

its a shame one fire can do all that. Some folks lost all they had, even things saved from the past family history. here in Indiana, most folks dont live where it will flood. Some dont have a choice tho.
