Default 1994 Z07 production numbers

So I guess I just realized today that my new 1994 Corvette purchase actually is the Z07 package, which I did not know/knew nothing about at the time of purchase.

How many Z07s were built in 1994 with the ZF transmission ?

What else can you guys tell me about the Z07?

Thanks!

According to the Corvette Black Book 887 cars were built that included the Z07 option. They don't break it down by combinations of options but approx 1/4 of the entire 1994 run was with the 6 speed trans.

RPO Z07 first appeared in 1991 replacing the Z51 suspension package. It was available with either the manual or auto trans but was a couple only option. The option numbers varied up thru the 1995 cars but typically was around 750-800 units installed on the coupes. Typical cost for Z07 was around $2200 Z07 included the FX3 adjustable shocks with all the other heavy duty suspension components. Larger HD brakes (J55 package) were also included.

Spring rates on the ZO7 are 50% higher than the base model and 24% higher than on the ZR1 (and you will feel it if you have rough roads). Also 30 mm solid steel front sway bar replaced the 24mm tubular on the base and 26mm tubular on the ZR1. You may also have a slightly quicker steering ratio (earlier ones did but they may have all gone to the quicker ratio by 1994). Also earlier models had slightly thicker control arms and slightly different bushing compound not sure on 94. My 92 is 1 of 738 with only 21,700 miles. Does not add anything to the value but nice if you decide to take it to the track.

Wow thanks for the info everyone.

At first, I was hesitant with the seller because of the wheels not being staggered as I thought that was always a standard on every Corvette (c4s at least) and just seemed fishy to me..

So glad I decided on making the buy..for $5k!

Welcome to the world of C4!
Well, a lot will depend on how it was maintained over its life. Having the 9.5 at all 4 corners is no problem at all and .... we get to rotate tires from front to back.

It's kind of mandatory .... you have to post pictures

824 ZO7 and 6,749 Rubys but no way to tell how many had both. Someone with better access to info at Bowling Green might be able to find out.
