Well the passenger power seat gave out after 155,000 miles. Can’t complain about that. Since I had the seats out to replace them with a nicely reupholstered set I picked up locally I decided I’m not going to mess with it so I bought manual tracks. If anyone is considering doing the same I can say it’s a super easy straight forward swap. Weighs quite a bit less too.

my 85's power seat (drivers) gave out as well. have been considering going manual - really don't need the push button movement.

Hello L.V. Vette, I am getting ready to remove the old worn out seat covers in my 86 and install new covers and have been thinking about installing a manual track on the drivers side, are you saying the passengers track will bolt right up to the drivers side seat? Mark

I'm thinking they will - don't see any reason they wouldn't. i went ahead and bought a set off fleabay - hopefully I didn't make a $40 mistake

Thanks for your reply Joe, L.V.Vette seemed confident that they would match up,still waiting for his reply. There's a C4 vette salvage yard about 10 miles from me so I will check there for those tracks and see what he knows. M
Is there a clean way to eliminate the power switches in the console?
Yes. I bought a used switch bezel from eBay that has provision for driver power switch and a cubby hole replacing the passenger power switch. These were for cars ordered with a manual passenger seat. I saw one on eBay that should fit your car. Think it was listed for $35
Used switch benzel? replace the the power passenger switch? My pass seat is manual, isn't that all I need a track like it to replace my power drivers seat?

Yes. The bezel is to eliminate the power switch for a cleaner look.
Converting to manual was one of the best things I did to my 94'. A member on here donated a "cubby" from a low option car for me to get rid of the power seat switches in my console. The power seats in my car still functioned pretty well, but the drivers side had a noticeable back and forth "rock" to it that just made the interior feel even cheaper to me. Now its all nice and solid. Only I drive the car, so set it and forget it. If I would have ordered this car new I would have gone as low option as possible. Less to break, and it ages better.

Great job TT94, I have the new seat covers on hand but still searching for manual passenger seat tracks that I need for the drivers side, I have seen an average price of about $80 for a used set,do you think that is a reasonable price?

just paid $40 + shipping on fleabay - seems to me, the total was around $57 to my door (FWIW - price was $49.99 or "make offer" - I offered $40 and the seller accepted). the seller had 5 sets (4 remaining). arrived yesterday, and overall, in very good condition. going thru a light cleaning before installation in my 85. if interested, here's the fleabay link -- https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1996-C...72.m2749.l2649 -
my installation my be temporary. after I install the manual track, it will give me a chance to see WTF is wrong with my original power track and see if I can do any kind of repair. seems to me, rebuilt units run in the $200-$300 range. I will post my findings -

For both I think $80.00 is a fair price. I can't remember how much I paid but I got them both from separate sources. I cleaned them off with degreaser and hit them both with rustoleum satin black before installing.
