Does anyone know more about this Vette?
looks like a 1990? I love the mods.
This pic was posted around 2007.
i know its a treasure hunt but sure would love to see more of it if it's still or out there.

Just looks like a slammed 90 with flares and aftermarket rockers to me..... B&B exhaust perhaps.

The only '90 with those taillights was a zr-1. I think that is '91+. It looks like a project at the time.

Lowered, side skirts, deep dish wheels, fender flares, probably a cat back.

They used to call it out being "pimped out".

The angle of the pic is what grabs your attention. The c4 looks awesome at some angles.

It goes back to a chris green using the image last as far as I can tell.

Looks like a 90 ZR-1 to me. Look at black body line piece, the rear bumper at the bottom looks...**** I can't even a way to describe it. But if you look at zr-1 vs base C4s at bottom part of the body, the zr-1s are different.

it's a 90 ZR-1

The 90 Corvette has round tail lights, the 1991 Corvette didn't have the black trim

Yes, it is a 90 ZR1 for sure- as others have said.
The tell tale signs are the black moulding, the squared tail lights, the third brake light up top and the front quarter "gills" are 1990.

It could be a regular 1990 with an aftermarket bumper (they were made with the narrow molding). I think this car was in Europe somewhere as it had Fiat Head light grafted in the hood.

I forget who owned it, but that was the color of it and the wheels look like what was on the car I am thinking of

Default That was fast!

Thanks Jeff! So it's a 1990 European job. Cool. I REALLY enjoyed the pics you posted. Europe, anything goes. Looks like possibly a GS due to flares but..... who really knows? I know the ZR-1 (never saw a Z with flares) came with the high stop light up there, but so did early C4s.
can't really tell if the rear end is 3 inches wider and I can't believe anyone would pull the ZR-1 badges off a ZR-1.

MYSTERY SOLVED.... now who makes those sweet looking flares?

His handle was Tonih. Shame the pictures of his interior resto are all gone. And the conversion he did with the Fiat headlights. Car was in the Netherlands, last I remember him posting there was some accident. Ever knew what happened with the car eventually.

No that is not Toni, it was Johnny (found a couple of his posts on DC)

Toni did the all leather interior in his 90 or 91, this is an early car based on the interior

also I have seen one ZR-1 with flares, it was white

Is it a ZR-1 or isnt it? I dont see the 1-1/2" spaces beside the license plate... The dash is an 89 dash.

You are right Tonih had the red car. Johnny had the blue car. Both did phenomenal work.

Yeah, not me. My car is still under work. I had an accident but only the hood and the bumper cover were damaged. The project escalated after that + life got into way + bought a C3 etc. and its still not finished. The interior is still pristine though. Also, the pics still exist but forum policy on editing old threads prevented me from updating the pic links. The thread was locked as too old for editing.

If any of the mods reads this maybe you could unlock this thread as a public service so I could edit the links? As it was a specific project thread about one single car the "we need new threads instead of just editing old ones" -reasoning doesn't really apply. I mean there is absolutely no sense in me making a new project thread on the same project every nn months, is there. As it sits now its no use to anybody.

Like his Fiat headlights though. The rear bumper cover could be aftermarket retrofit ZR-1 style. I think that car is from Holland (?).

Default Its 90

Most likely a 90 based on US specs. But being euro, who knows for sure. I'll bet it is a ZR1.
Pictured is the 90 ZR1

90 base hadn't integrated the high stop light into the rear yet.

Notice the fender vents and black belt line.

Look at the dash, it's flat. I reckon it's an earlier car with later rear end on it.

I will bet the rear end is after market; an Eckler's piece I had on my 85; it is in my avitar; hard to tell from that pic however. I say that because like others pointed out, this appears to have the 84-89 dash with the black side molding. They no longer make that rear piece. I bought mine when I had the whole car painted. The bottom end of quarters flared out like that and fit the non-ZR1 bodies. Just a guess since I don't see the space on each side of the license plate like the wide body ZR1.

It has '87 dash, '87 fender vents, '87 roof brake light and an aftermarket rear bumper cover and you bet its a '90 ZR1? Okey...

It could also be any other 84-90 C4 with aftermarket parts, which were commonly available from most vendors earlier and might still be.

Ps. this is what 1990 ZR1 dash looks like: https://s.hswstatic.com/gif/1990-corvette-2.jpg
