Its a steal. A good condition stick c4, any year for 3k is a steal.

Buy it now
If you can drive it home it'll be fun this summer. Be warned these things will require some love if you're going to drive it. You'll have to replace belts hoses battery tires new wheels are definitely needed. General maintenance mobile one, filter, coolant flush, a new stereo and speakers...
and don't wrench on anything before you research it. I busted a fender panel trying to replace the battery. These things have hidden fasteners everywhere. There's even a right way to jack it up.
$3k sounds like a steal.

I always wanted a Corvette
I own a shop in PA called doutyville Auto Truck and equipment repair so I can do the work myself if it needs any the only thing I don't like is a 240 horsepower out of a 350 small-block it's a Corvette there should be a lot more horsepower than that I don't get it. I know people that race stock 350 small blocks and they put out more horsepower than that what's your suggestion on mods that give me more horsepower. Without tearing the motor out and put a cam in .

Going to inspect it tomorrow hopefully bring it home :)
I'm going to look at it tomorrow what are the things I should look at on the Corvette like known problems please? he said he put four brand new tires a battery interior is in good shape the only thing is fading is the clear coat a little bit. But like how about the frame is it known to rust out in certain places any other information you can give me I will definitely appreciate thank you guys so much

Burning Brakes
Check the floorboards for damage. With the low clearance I've seen a few with big chunks missing. Gauges/swiches/etc As far as horsepower how old were you in 1985? Considering there were a LOT of cars that were just over 100 HP any motor putting out over 200 was quite a feat.

from the pics i've seen everything i need to see to know that if it runs, drives, has no engine knock, no blowby out the oil fill cap, and the transmission works in all gears, i'd buy it and pay him the 3k.
if the paint was missing its clear coat, i'd offer him 2k.
i don't like that the interior has been messed with but thats allright.
i passed on a car like this 2 years ago for 2k and i wish i hadn't.

i should caveat my comment above saying that i'd go all the way restoring the fx3 suspension which can be pricey, but other than that one option, as long as the zf6 is good, then thats a no brainer.

headers and dual exh will pick things up
That intake was desined to make good low end tq they arent high rpm deals.
Drive it around awhile youll see. TPI was made for the 305 but theres options out there for better ones.
For 3k run it til it dies.

Melting Slicks
If it's running then yes it's a good deal. Looks to be in fair condition at least. Drive it often, they don't like to sit around. That's what causes many problems with these cars, just sitting and rotting away.

Beyond that, unless you are mechanically inclined and will bring your SCANNER, NOT CODE READER, SCANNER, compression gauge and lift, I suggest you bring is somewhere for a PDI before money changes hands. Ask me how I learned that lesson years ago. Americans tend not to do brake fluid flushes so if that is black, probably ok. If the trans fluid is fresh, be careful he might be hiding something. If I am selling a car, NFW would I buy the best quality tires and change the rear end fluid and trans fluid, etc before selling it. Always believer the PO is a crook and/or a moron.
Never mind about the PDI. I didn't see that you owned a shop, etc. Regardless, the PO being a crook and/or a moron still stands.

If you don't want to put heads, cams, intake, headers, tuning, etc, I really think you should leave it stock.
