Wonder if that tent would make a good temporary paint booth?

I was thinking the same thing! That would be perfect for what I want to do. And $60? Where did you source it?

Yup, I should've got a Yugo so I didn't have to work on it in winter

True. When it breaks, take the plates off and walk away.

With that gazebo being only 10 foot wide, it wouldn't make a good paint booth, unless what you were painting was on a rotisserie or something smaller than a Corvette. Consider our cars, they are just a tad under 6', well 1" under 6ft to be exact. That leaves you 2 foot on either side. I don't have the longest arms but I measured from my elbow to where a spray gun would end and it is around 20". I know when I sprayed the '65, I had the gun a little further back than that, plus you have to have room to stoop down etc.

If it was 14 ft wide, you could build a really good spray booth with some plastic sheeting for the bottom to complete the seal, a couple box fans to provide suction and a couple boxes with furnace filters, both connected at the ends with some fabricated tubes.

I have seen a portable one adverstised on MAVHD cable channel, but it was pricey for shooting 1 or 2 cars.

Bet it will work great. I think you’d be fine with an oil filled radiator style electric heater, 1500w. Less risk of fire compared to forced air or heaters with open elements and no CO to worry about. They do take longer to heat things up but are great at maintaining heat once up to temp. Tent will do nice to keep dust off the car too!

what I would give for a garage that size...
