Any car 25 years old or older only needs SAFETY inspection in Texas. My 83 Monte Ss had custom exhaust and not cats and all they checked was lights brakes and exhaust (no leaks).

Both my 90 and 94 ZR-1's had Momo wheels and I never had any issues with State Inspection. But, if I still owned them today, both cars would have Antique plates.(25 years old or older) No state inspection is required, only need one plate, and registration only costs $55, every five years. Yes, there are restrictions but there are many ways to get around those.

maybe the only steering wheel he ever saw was from 1 C-1. Those things had boat sized wheels. I know it was hard to turn to kiss any gal I had in the car...wait, maybe that was my breath. Really tho, they were huge. I agree with the post where it says they guy was just an azzhole or having a bad day, I also think that law was passed when putting on dragster type wheels were popular back in the day.

Default after steering wheel

On my 1990 ZR-1 i had a custom steering wheel made out of 1/4 alu plate . It measure 13.5 in ( 342 mm ) . I drag race the car so going around corners
is not high on my list. The red buttons are horn and green button is a pro trans-brake.Had this set up for over 4 years.
