The nose always looked strange to me. But based on the time it was done, I guess that was popular...

I don't like the wheels on the Callaways. They remind me of some Ford wheels from the early 80s. The nose vents are a bit goofy too, but it was at least an attempt to bring back high performance to the Corvette. If modified C4s are what we are looking for, then Mike Gill's ZR-1 is a better look than the Callaway (IMHO):

And if we are looking for a totally stock look, I'll stick with my 95 ZR-1:

Thanks for posting this. Hands down, agreed. #1, the very best. No contest.

Oooh Sledgehammer out for a show! 30 years later... 254mph is still an amazing benchmark.

Thanks for posting this beautiful example of C4 history!

Stock...has to go to the 95-96, ZR-1/LT4 cars - cream of the crop; real cream puffs! All the bugs worked out (except inherent design flaws) - best of the best C4s!

Guys, what does "best" even mean? Best looking, best performing, best resale value now? You all commenting on the looks of the Sledgehammer is funny, because that car wasn't built as a design exercise. It was built primarily to set a top speed mark, which it did quite well. So comments about the "funny looking nose" miss the point of the car (besides, if it's being driven nobody will ever see the nose!).

There plenty of badass C4s on here. But for sure, Mike 94 ZR-1 takes the cake for me.

That admiral blue one is one of the all-time greats. Saw a few Calloway Supernaturals at Carlisle last year that were awesome, and I absolutely love almost any C4 in Turquoise Metallic.

Is the old Specter Works body kit for racing.

Except the rear, that's a one off.

"Favorite" may be a better choice of words? The Sledgehammer is certainly one of my all time favorite C4s and it's accomplishments speak for themselves
5abivt's ZR1 is one of my favorite forum C4 ZR1s. I love the Admiral Blue and the killer stance as well as the wheel/tire combination.
