C4 1996 Lt4 6 speed vs C5 coupe 6 speed. Overall Considerations

My Cayenne-S out-performs my 85 in pretty much every measure of "performance", particularly in rain with its AWD. But it isn't a Corvette that I've owned for 34 years.
C4 vs C5 is easy for me. The C5 is butt-*** ugly. I've never liked the styling, so the C5 has never been a consideration for me. The C6, however appeals to me, and I may own one someday.

85 would be a great car to mod, prob lighter weight than the later c4’s !

:Iagree:
He asked about ELECTRICAL parts, which the C5 has more electronics. Don't forget about the column lock!

Back in the day, I had a very good friend who had a C5. She and I went a lot of places in it, as well as in my LT4. I'd say your choice depends on what you want to do with the car. If you have a DD and want a weekend fun car, get the LT4.
If you're looking to buy it as a daily driver, get the C5. If you are over 60 years old, get the C5.
I think the C5 is the more handsome car overall. (the C5 coupe looks better from the front, and the side...the C4 coupe looks better from the three-quarter rear view and straight rear view.)
Either car should be equally reliable, since both would have had plenty of time for the normal gremlins to show up and be fixed.
If I were to buy another Corvette to share a garage with my C4, it would be a C5.
