Probably pay him no attention unless we were racing AutoX in the couple classes the cars overlap. Can't see any other reason I would pay an STI any attention.
My son had a black 06 STI and currently has a blue 06 STI. That generation completely stock ran a 13.9 1/4. The current generation runs @13.3. My 88 is a stock L98 with a Borla cat back. If we were to race I’d have a great view of his tailights!! Those cars are amazing little rockets....slap a tune and an exhaust on them and they’re crazy!! This STI as much as it doesn’t look that different runs in the 9’s!! It’s someone else’s car and the hatchback version 800 hp... the best run was a 9.3 1/4
I had a 17 STI. Great car. Not fast, but super engaging. Loved it, but ended up finding my dream c6. Lost some money trading it, but was worth it. Would have another if the situation allowed it.

yep. save some money, purchase a wrx, dump about 2k into it, and its a very fast car that handles great. I been looking at trading in my 2003 wrx for a new one, but the car has not really changed in almost 20 years (except in price).
