just picked up 10 quarts (2 - five-quart jugs) and 2 filters - total investment, out the door (after rebate) $38.84 --

@ Walmart prices, comes out to $2.69 /qt and $5 on the filter - how can you go wrong?

I have two oil changes in the garage cabinet right now. Does anyone think that Mobile 1 in a sealed jug loses anything if not used for say two years after buying? I know it won't get cheaper in the future.

A-ok to use it. Oil sealed in a container can be stored indefinitely. Unless it gets icy cold or super hot in your garage, I wouldn't worry about.

Too bad Walmart isn't a participating retailer. I just bought some from there before I saw this.

why don't you think Walmart isn't a participating retailer? just because it's not on the list? the list states Participating Retailers include: - keyword is "include." notice, autozone, advanced auto, o'reilly's, NAPA, are not on the list, and they are certainly retailers. unless things have changed from last year, Walmart qualifies for the rebate. if you just bought mobil 1 from Walmart, .pdf copy your receipt, and fill out the on-line form. I cashed in on the rebate for the last two previous years, and bought the mobil 1 from walmart --

We go through this every year. I have bought M1 from Wally world for as long as I have had my Vette and never been denied a rebate.

Got mine today at Walmart. 5qt Mobile 1 $22.88 (sale) and filter at $9.97 total is $32.85. With the rebate an oil change is $15.85 + tax. That sounds cheap. Dan
